Post Facial Care/Waxing Instructions:
Aerobic exercise and/or vigorous physical activity and any mechanical or chemical exfoliants should be avoided for 48 hours prior to and following the treatment. Direct sunlight exposure is to be avoided immediately following the treatment (including any strong UV light exposure and/or tanning beds). If some sun exposure cannot be avoided first apply a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30. Sunscreen (with a minimum SPF 15) should become part of your daily skin care regimen as skin can potentially become more sensitized to the sun as a result of this treatment. Unless otherwise specified, in the evening following your treatment, cleanse your skin with a mild cleanser and water followed by a non-active moisturizer. Do not apply additional exfoliating ingredients/products the day of your service as over-exfoliation can result in irritation or further sensitivity. Consult your skin care professional before resuming topical treatments. Microdermabrasion, Chemical peels, certain specialty facials and waxing can result in skin flushing/redness or slight skin flaking or sensitivity 24-72 hours post treatment. DO NOT peel, pick, rub, or scratch your skin at any time. This can potentially cause damage or compromise your results.
Post Microdermabrasion or Chemical Peel Instructions:
Take the same precautions as outlined in the care instructions for facials and waxing as well as the following:
discontinue use of any exfoliation. This include chemical peels, prescription or over-the-counter products containing glycolic acid, alpha or beta hydroxy, retinol, benzoyl peroxide or topical acne, (including sugar/salt scrubs) in the area being treated, at least 24-72 hours prior and 24-48 hours after treatment. Prescription retinoid products (Retin A, Tretinoin, Isotretinoin, Renova, Avita, Alustra, Adapalene, Avage, Differin, Tazarotene, Tazorac, or other) should be discontinued 24-72 hours prior and can be resumed 3-7 days after treatment or as advised by your skin care professional. Discontinue suntanning 7-days prior and 2-weeks after.
